Post subject:  Signup: A Debtor’s Hardships

Difficulty: Moderate
Slots: 2-4
Description: Six years ago, a local merchant going through financial problems accepted a loan from some ‘shady folk’ without realizing that they were trying to scam him out of everything he owned. Today, business has improved but the extralegal loan sharks he borrowed from are demanding an unreasonably large sum and are threatening to have him killed if he does not comply. Unable to pay off his massive debt, the merchant has requested that a group of hunters escort him and his possessions to another town where he can more safely arrange for a one way trip out of the region. Further information will be provided at the start of the mission.

Rewards: 100 gold to be evenly distributed among the party upon completion + anything you find on the mission (doesn't sound like much, but the extra rewards will be well worth it)

Kyrian walked into the guild seeing the signup sheet. He walked over, noting he was the first one there. He didn't really like teams, but he needed the contacts among the guild in order to help him with his own goal. Silently he signed the sheet, then leaned against the wall to await further information.

((OOC: I would like to reserve a position on this quest for Wilhelm Grimm, but I will need to write out his ORP, Black Reunion first as I will need Grimm to go through two significant character changes to explain why he would join this quest.

...namely, that he is becoming an aspiring merchant eager to learn as much as possible from the escaping party... about the mercantile business and more about these "shady folk". He likes the sound of them.

Oh, and because he's bat-s*** crazy. Totally insane. Which will make things interesting, to say the least. 8) ))

A thin figure swathed in black rags slipped into the guildhouse, and scuttled towards the noticeboard. Looking up at the advertised opportunity, his fingers crawled up the wall and read along with the words.Withdrawing his trembling hands with excitment, he signed as his alias "Joseph Bartleby", but instead produced the signature of a "Janus Beetlebrain", in an erratic, unsteady hand.

After some time, a surly-looking guild representative walks forward to retrieve the signup sheet and reads it. "Just two?" he sighs under breath before shaking his head, "guess it'll have to do. Kyrian Dra... Draconis! Janus Bee... Beetlebrain? You two are to report to your employer, Mr. Markos near the start of the Southern Road in half-an-hour. Food and supplies will be provided."

((Sorry this took so long, but I've been busy with Summer Classes (had a test - sometimes two - everyday for the past three weeks  ). Now that they're over, I'll have plenty of time to keep this quest active - so don't worry about that. Also, this is still open, if anyone still wants to signup. Thread will be in Many Long Roads, and I'll have it posted either tonight or tomorrow.))
